PlayStation Plus Summer 2025 Adds Resident Evil, Sword of the Sea, Twisted Metal

PlayStation Plus offers new and old games in its Extra and Premium libraries, including Resident Evil, Twisted Metal, and others.

Our June 2025 State of Play expo highlighted new PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games to our ever-changing roster. Some games will debut on the service on day one, but all are ready to drop this summer.

Headliner Sword of the Sea is an evocative adventure game about surfing across a beautiful oasis. The Abzu and The Pathless team at Giant Squid’s upcoming project promises skateboarding-like gameplay, stunning graphics, and exploration. PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium users will get it free beginning August 19, 2025.

Remedy Entertainment’s FBC: Firebreak will provide a fresh viewpoint to Control when it hits Premium and Extra users’ Game Catalog on June 17, 2025. These are new experiences from renowned producers, but the Premium Classics Catalog will soon let gamers rediscover vintage games.

Deux Ex, Twisted Metal 3, 4, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis are new Classic Catalog entries. PlayStation Plus users may play Myst and Riven during Days of Play later this month.
